These are decorations from the outside of our house, with Nathan and Becca at the front door. What a great year we had in 2006. We look forward to a great 2007 as well. To our family and friends, we wish you all very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We're off to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" now and then off to Evening Prayer. We're opening presents tonight with the Velasquez family, and tomorrow with the Kennedy family.

Shiloh Enters our Life

This is our new edition to our home, with all the energy and spunk you'd expect from a 3-month Beagle. His name is Shiloh. Posted by Picasa

This was the glorious race that Alex and Arthur ran on December 2, 2006 here in Baton Rouge. They ran an amazing 26.2 miles around the LSU lakes and LSU campus. They ran for 4 hours 59 minutes (Arthur) and 5 hours and 27 minutes (Alex).

Congratulations guys!! Posted by Picasa

Talent Agent

Wonderful news in our family yesterday!

We took the kids to audition with a talent scout and were accepted. We signed contracts and all. In the interview, the agent asked me about my interests and offered me to represent me as well. So this weekend we will go take pictures, complete resumes and "wait for the calls" to come in. The potentials are big. We are very excited.

What's encouraging to us is that this did not "just happen" and it didn't just "drop on our lap." Leah and I have been discussing this - and planning to do this - for well over 10 years. We knew that one of the most important things to agents, directors and film makers in working with kids is the ability for the kids to be well-behaved around adults, able to have adult conversations with adults, listen, be direct-able, and yet retain their kid-ness. Leah and I knew that these qualities not only develop pleasant kids reflecting the glory of Christ and the honor of God, but that the benefits in this world would include many open doors in the market place and in relations.

Hats off to my dear wife for being so conscious in developing their characters and building kings and queens to the glory of our Saviour, their own good and the praise of her hands. The children are already fulfilling biblical prophecies in their lives where Scripture promises that godly children shall rise early and call their mother blessed. Nathan and Becca are not only not a shame to her in public, they are a reflection of her beauty, her love, her dedication, her delight for the eternal and mundane, and the outworking of our love.

Way to way Nathan!!!! Congratulations Becca!!!!! You did it!!!!!! Now for the pictures!!!!!!
